Hubei province is expanding high-tech industrial parks to boost innovation and economic growth, with the Wuhan Optics Valley Youth Pioneer Park supporting young entrepreneurs through mentorship, funding, and rent reductions, helping incubate 254 startups in five years, including 61 led by recent graduates.
Companies like Wuhan Qianda Intelligent Technology, developing advanced sensors, are advancing in fields like optoelectronics and planning semiconductor expansion.
The park supports over 100 startups in going global.
Complementing this, the Wuhan Institute of Industrial Innovation and Development connects universities, enterprises, and investors, hosting over 90 research units to advance hard-tech projects.
The model is spreading to Yichang, where green energy is driving growth in computing power and digital industries, supported by Hubei’s three-year plan to make Yichang a national hub for data and computing infrastructure.
