Nasdaq Dubai listed Emirates Islamic’s $500 million Sustainability-Linked Financing Sukuk, the world’s first of its kind, under the bank’s $4 billion Sukuk Programme.
The issuance drew $1.2 billion in orders—2.4 times oversubscribed—enabling a 4.54% annual profit rate, 95 basis points above 5-year US Treasuries.
The event marked a milestone for sustainable Islamic finance, supporting the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 goals and reflecting strong global demand for Shari’ah-compliant, ESG-focused instruments.
With this listing, Emirates Islamic’s total Sukuk on Nasdaq Dubai reached $2.77 billion, pushing the exchange’s total Sukuk value past $100 billion.
Nasdaq Dubai now hosts $140 billion in fixed income and $28.7 billion in ESG listings, including $1.55 billion in sustainability-linked instruments, reinforcing its position as a global hub for Islamic and sustainable capital markets.
