Chulalongkorn University awarded $19 million in scholarships and research grants in 2025, funded by the MBK Center lease, to support over 1,000 projects through 2029.
Chulalongkorn University in Thailand is using its Second Century Fund to award nearly 700 million baht (about $19 million) in 2025 for over 1,000 scholarships and research projects.
Since 2013, the fund has supported more than 3,300 scholarships and 3,000 research initiatives, including work on probiotics for blood sugar control and nanoencapsulated antioxidants from crustacean waste.
The funding, derived from the MBK Center lease renewal and set to continue through 2029, aims to boost academic excellence, foster innovation aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals, and strengthen Thailand’s global research presence through high-impact publications and international presentations.
