In September 2025, Australian tradie Sam O'Connor completed a 378-kilometre solo run from Bermagui to Accor Stadium in Sydney over nine days to raise awareness about sports-related concussions, part of the "Concussion Cruise" initiative.
Inspired by personal experiences with head injuries from playing Australian rules football, O'Connor wore a pink Power Rangers suit for the final stretch despite the heat and celebrated with family and friends, though he couldn’t attend the NRL grand final.
His friend Jack Corcoran ran a separate 600-kilometre journey across six European countries over 12 days.
