Uttarakhand launched 12 rural economic projects, including coaching and women's empowerment schemes, on October 7, 2025.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched 12 new economic initiatives under the National Rural Livelihood Mission in Rishikesh on October 7, 2025, allocating ₹1.20 crore to Cluster Level Federations and laying foundations for 10 more projects worth ₹1 crore.
The event featured the launch of "Rising Tehri – Physics Wala Online Coaching Classes" to help rural youth prepare for competitive exams.
Dhami highlighted women’s empowerment through schemes like the "Lakhpati Didi Yojana," which has helped over 1.65 lakh women earn more than ₹1 lakh annually, and the "Mukhyamantri Sashakt Bahna Utsav Yojana," enabling around 2,000 women to generate ₹5.5 crore in sales.
Over 68,000 Self-Help Groups, 7,500 Village Organisations, and 534 Cluster-Level Organisations are active, with the state supporting over 3 lakh women farmers through training, kitchen gardens, farm machinery banks, and organic farming.
The government emphasized that buying local products supports rural livelihoods and cultural preservation.
