University of Manitoba offers free dental care to low-income and uninsured patients through a federal grant.
The University of Manitoba’s dental school is providing free oral health services to eligible Manitobans enrolled in the Canadian Dental Care Plan or uninsured, thanks to a $336,000 Health Canada grant.
The program, available at the university’s general clinic until March 31, 2026, or until funds run out, covers up to 100% of eligible care for patients of all ages.
It targets vulnerable groups including seniors, people with disabilities, Indigenous individuals, newcomers, and those with insecure housing.
The initiative also supports dental students’ training while expanding access to underserved communities.
Over 5 million Canadians are now enrolled in the CDCP.
La Universidad de Manitoba ofrece atención dental gratuita para pacientes de bajos ingresos y sin seguro a través de una subvención federal.
