Two imprinted coyote pups rescued from California are now at Virginia’s Living Museum, unable to survive in the wild.

Two orphaned coyote pups, rescued from Palm Desert and Long Beach, have been relocated to the Virginia Living Museum after being deemed unable to survive in the wild due to human imprinting. Found as newborns and raised by humans, the cubs lost their natural fear despite rehabilitation efforts. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife arranged their transfer, and they were flown from LAX via FedEx. Now in a safe, enriching environment, the coyotes will serve as educational ambassadors. Officials urge the public to leave young wildlife undisturbed and seek professional help when needed.
