Thailand won’t attend border talks unless Cambodia moves nationals from three disputed villages by Oct. 7.
Thailand will not attend an upcoming border meeting with Cambodia unless Phnom Penh submits a plan by October 7 to relocate Cambodian nationals from three villages in Thailand’s Sa Kaeo province, a demand Cambodia has rejected.
The Royal Thai Army reiterated the deadline, citing unresolved border disputes, while Cambodia prepares to resist any eviction efforts.
Meanwhile, Cambodia has invited Thailand to a separate border committee meeting in November to support ceasefire implementation and regional stability.
On a separate note, Cambodia’s culture minister met with Russia’s ambassador to discuss enhancing cultural cooperation, including arts and heritage initiatives.
