A 2,000-pound pumpkin won Denmark’s giant pumpkin championship, showcasing exceptional growth from organic methods.

A 2,000-pound (903.5 kg) pumpkin won the Danish Giant Pumpkin Championship in Copenhagen, triumphing over a 970-pound (439.5 kg) runner-up. Peter Holst Olsen, the grower, credited organic fertilizers, spring water, and ideal growing conditions for the win. Though the Danish and Nordic records remain unbroken, Olsen plans to pursue a new record next year after a well-earned break. The nine pumpkins will be displayed at Tivoli Gardens through November 2.
