Paul Mosley, 58, convicted in the 2012 arson fire that killed six children in Derby, has died.
He was found guilty alongside the children’s parents, Mick and Mairead Philpott, of six counts of manslaughter after helping set a fire at their home to stage a rescue.
The blaze, which killed five children and a 13-year-old half-brother who died days later, was planned and executed by Mick Philpott with Mosley’s assistance.
Mosley, who had a criminal history, was sentenced to 17 years and released in 2021, later recalled and released again in 2023.
His death has been confirmed by a relative of the victims.
