Neville Lawrence demands Norris name accomplices and apologize before parole, citing need for remorse in 1993 racist murder case.
Neville Lawrence, father of Stephen Lawrence, is demanding that David Norris, one of his son’s convicted killers, name other gang members involved in the 1993 racist murder before being considered for parole.
Norris, 49, is set to appear before a parole board in a livestreamed hearing, with only his back visible.
Neville, 83, stressed that only by naming accomplices and offering a public apology would Norris demonstrate remorse, a condition he insists is necessary for any release.
The case, which exposed institutional racism and police failures, led to a 1999 inquiry finding the Metropolitan Police deeply flawed.
The College of Policing is reviewing the latest investigation stage.
