A Montana man was arrested in Idaho after a standoff linked to a Washington burglary spree and a self-inflicted injury.
A 42-year-old man from Kalispell, Montana, Eric B. Wright, was arrested in Cottonwood, Idaho, after a standoff in a camper on Church Street.
He was wanted on multiple felony warrants from Whitman County, Washington, linked to an August attempted ATM burglary and a suspected regional property crime spree.
During the incident, Wright sustained a self-inflicted injury and was hospitalized, first at St. Mary’s in Cottonwood, then airlifted to Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene.
No officers were injured.
The Idaho State Police, assisted by local agencies and the FBI, handled the operation, which remains under investigation.
