Cobb County adds 11-month-old Bloodhound Liberty to K-9 unit for search missions.
The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office has introduced Liberty, an 11-month-old Bloodhound with advanced tracking skills, as its newest K-9 officer on October 6, 2025.
Paired with veteran Deputy Barry Bales, a three-year K-9 handler, Liberty will assist in search and rescue missions, particularly for missing children and elderly individuals.
The addition enhances the department’s public safety and search capabilities.
