Spain’s Noel Alimentaria has acquired a 25% stake in Iberian meat producer Garrudo Benito, with plans to raise its ownership to 50% by 2028, aiming to expand premium ham sales and strengthen supply chains.
The partnership includes a new curing facility in Piedrahíta capable of processing 500,000 hams annually and joint product development for gourmet and mass retail markets.
The move supports growth in Spain and export markets, particularly the UK, where Garrudo Benito holds a key approval from Marks & Spencer.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
