The Honda driver, unidentified, was pronounced dead at the scene; the 21-year-old Mercedes driver was unharmed. The accident, which occurred just after 10 a.m., closed SR 46 in both directions between Towne Center Boulevard and Wayside Drive, with traffic rerouted.
