North Shore LEGO artist Paul Hetherington unveiled a 17,850-brick, 130-stud-long replica of the West Vancouver Memorial Library to mark its 75th anniversary, building it over three weeks using architectural plans, photos, and Google Earth.
The detailed model features a rooftop garden, parked cars, trees, and mechanical elements, crafted with reused bricks from local children and new ones for the exterior.
Displayed since September 23, it has drawn crowds, especially children, and will be highlighted during Hetherington’s October 8 talk at the library, where he’ll share his creative process and promote LEGO as a tool for accessible artistry.
