As of January 2025, India’s Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana has disbursed ₹2,265.86 crore to support organic farming, benefiting 25.3 million farmers across 15 lakh hectares through 52,289 clusters.
The scheme, providing ₹31,500 per hectare over three years, has enabled large-scale certification, including Sikkim as the world’s first 100% organic state and all of Lakshadweep’s 2,700 hectares.
Over 6.23 lakh farmers are registered on the ‘Jaivik Kheti’ portal, linked with suppliers and buyers, while the cluster model promotes collective action and sustainable practices.
