A Butler High student dedicated a concrete memorial for fallen Pennsylvania State Police troopers on October 4, 2025.
On October 4, 2025, Jackson Juggling, a Butler High School junior and Eagle Scout candidate, completed a permanent tribute at the Butler barracks by pouring over 5 yards of concrete dyed “state police gray” into a keystone shape to honor Pennsylvania State Police troopers who died in the line of duty.
The project, inspired by a decades-old tradition of flag placement, was supported by state police, local officials, and community members, with help from fellow Scouts and local businesses.
The concrete base will serve as a lasting memorial, with flags placed annually from May 2 to Veterans Day.
Jackson plans to use leftover funds for an explanatory plaque.
The event coincided with other local happenings, including a pumpkin patch at the Butler YMCA, a fall fundraiser combining art and food, and a bluegrass dinner supporting local charities.
