An all-female choir from Australia, Cantelina, will perform women composers' works in two October 2025 concerts.
An all-female choir, Cantelina, founded in 2022 by Samantha Cobcroft in Muswellbrook, Australia, will perform Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater and other works by women in concerts on October 18 and 19, 2025, in Scone and Singleton.
Featuring Cobcroft and mezzo-soprano Anthea Harrington with a string quartet and continuo, the choir’s repertoire includes family-passed music and pieces by composers like Bach and Rutter.
Originally formed to support church music, it expanded in 2015 into the Cantelina Chorale, performing choral works and supporting local arts.
Concerts start at 2 p.m., with tickets priced at $25 for adults, $15 for concessions, and $60 for families, available at the door.
