People in Green Bay walked to raise awareness and funds for Crohn’s and colitis, honoring teens affected by the diseases.
Residents of Green Bay gathered at Voyageur Park for the 2025 Take Steps Green Bay Walk, organized by The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, to raise funds and support for those with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
The event honored local teens Violet Beau, diagnosed with Crohn’s at age eight, and Grace Nimmer, a nursing student who developed severe ulcerative colitis after battling COVID-19 and flu.
Both shared their stories to promote awareness and compassion.
Nearly 1 in 100 Americans lives with one of these chronic conditions, and the walk served as a powerful display of community solidarity and hope.
