Oxfordshire Council seeks public feedback by Oct. 17, 2025, on safety and access upgrades for Witney’s High Street and Market Square.
Oxfordshire County Council is seeking public input on traffic improvements for Witney High Street and Market Square, with feedback due by October 17, 2025.
The proposed changes, funded by the government’s Active Travel Fund, include flat-top speed bumps, new parking and loading rules, full-time disabled parking, a zebra crossing on Welch Way, and dedicated bus and taxi stops.
The goal is to enhance safety, support walking and cycling, and preserve the town’s historic character.
Earlier public consultations occurred in 2023 and 2024, and residents can submit views via an online survey.
If concerns arise, a report may be prepared for a public meeting later in 2025, where members of the public may speak.
More information is available on the council’s website.
