A man in his 40s was arrested after a crash on the N25 killed a 60-year-old van driver on October 5, 2025.

A man in his 40s was arrested following a fatal crash on the N25 near Drinagh, County Wexford, around 1:10 a.m. on October 5, 2025. The collision between a passenger van and a jeep killed the van’s driver, a man in his 60s, who was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in one of the vehicles sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at Wexford General Hospital. The road was closed for a forensic investigation, and the suspect remains in custody under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and any camera footage from the area between 12:30 a.m. and 1:30 a.m.
