Gujarat disbursed $37M in scholarships and loans to nomadic tribes, promoting inclusive growth.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel announced that Rs 297 crore in scholarships has been disbursed to over 27 lakh members of Nomadic and Denotified Tribes over the past three years, along with Rs 105 crore in loan assistance to 8,448 individuals.
Speaking at a convention in Ahmedabad, Patel emphasized inclusive development under Prime Minister Modi’s vision, urging women to join self-help groups and support indigenous goods to advance Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The state also highlighted its 'Ghar nu Ghar' housing initiative and a 2015-established corporation supporting 40 backward tribes.
The event honored Padma Shri recipient Bhanubhai Chitara.
