Texas investigates 127 districts over teacher social media posts about Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
The Texas Education Agency is investigating 127 school districts over nearly 300 complaints alleging educators shared inappropriate social media content related to the assassination of political activist Charlie Kirk.
The probe, focused on individual employees, includes a partial list of affected districts such as San Antonio ISD, Northside ISD, and River Road ISD, where one teacher’s post expressing satisfaction over Kirk’s death drew scrutiny.
While some districts confirmed compliance with TEA directives, others said they were unaware of the investigation.
The TEA continues reviewing complaints, with officials warning that such posts may violate the Educator’s Code of Ethics, potentially leading to certification suspension.
