Seventeen-year-old NHL prospect Gavin McKenna assisted twice in Penn State’s 6-3 win over Arizona State.

Seventeen-year-old Gavin McKenna, a top NHL draft prospect and member of the Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in First Nation, made a strong debut for Penn State, recording two first-period assists in a 6-3 win over Arizona State. The transfer from the Medicine Hat Tigers, who previously earned WHL player of the year honors, helped set up goals by Aiden Fink and Charlie Cerrato. Penn State overcame a 3-2 deficit in the second period, with Matt DiMarsico scoring a hat trick, including an empty-net goal, and Cerrato adding another goal for five points.
