Senate delays flood project hearing due to missing evidence and scheduling conflicts.
The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee has indefinitely postponed a key hearing on October 8, 2025, into alleged irregularities in flood control projects, citing unavailability of critical evidence including affidavits from contractor siblings Pacifico and Cezarah Discaya and findings from a judicial probe involving military and legal officials.
Chair Senator Panfilo Lacson also cited scheduling conflicts with other Senate proceedings.
The delay follows a similar pause by the House of Representatives, which stepped aside to allow the newly formed Independent Commission for Infrastructure to lead fact-finding efforts.
The next hearing date remains undetermined.
