Sean "Diddy" Combs sentenced to 50 months for transporting people for prostitution, acquitted of sex trafficking.
Sean "Diddy" Combs was sentenced to 50 months in prison after being convicted on one count of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution, a federal charge carrying a maximum sentence of 10 years.
The conviction followed a trial in Manhattan where 34 witnesses, including former partner Cassie and others, testified about alleged drug-fueled sexual encounters, physical abuse, and coercion during events known as "freak-offs."
A 2016 hotel video showed Combs dragging Cassie through a hallway, which he allegedly paid $100,000 to suppress.
Combs was acquitted of more serious charges including sex trafficking and racketeering.
The judge cited his history of violence against women when imposing the sentence, which is equivalent to four years and two months.
The ruling does not end all legal proceedings, as additional charges and civil lawsuits remain pending.
