Northern Kentucky University will host the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts starting in 2026, relocating the three-week summer program for high school sophomores and juniors from the University of Kentucky.
The program, established in 1987 and serving over 9,000 students, offers intensive training in nine arts disciplines, with graphic design added in 2026.
NKU’s Fine Arts Center will serve as the program’s hub.
Applications for 2026 open October 10 and close January 18.
