A New York man was arrested for a second DWI after crashing his car and testing 0.16% BAC.
A 30-year-old Crown Point, New York, man was arrested October 1, 2025, for reckless driving and driving while intoxicated after crashing his black 2013 Lincoln Continental into a mailbox and utility pole on Route 9.
Police said he showed signs of impairment, failed field sobriety tests, and had a blood alcohol level of 0.16%, double New York’s legal limit.
He was released on an appearance ticket with a court date later in October.
The man has a prior DWI conviction, making this a repeat offense, which under New York law is a felony punishable by prison and loss of civil rights.
