New Mexico launches a federal-funded quantum tech bootcamp to train technicians for high-paying jobs.
The Quantum Learning Lab (QuLL) in Albuquerque, launched September 29, 2025, offers a 10-week Quantum Technician Bootcamp with hands-on training in quantum computing, sensing, and communication.
Funded by federal support secured by New Mexico’s congressional delegation, the program at CNM’s FUSE Makerspace provides intensive instruction in optics, electronics, cryogenics, and cleanroom practices, using real quantum hardware.
Led by Elevate Quantum, CNM, Sandia National Laboratories, and the University of New Mexico, QuLL aims to build a skilled technician workforce without requiring advanced degrees, targeting entry-level jobs with salaries of $65,000 to $85,000.
The initiative supports New Mexico’s goal of becoming a national leader in quantum technology and economic development.
