Macao’s cultural showcase at World Expo 2025 Osaka marks its first overseas appearance since reunification.

Macao Week at the China Pavilion of World Expo 2025 Osaka opened on October 3, 2025, marking the region’s return to the global Expo stage after 15 years and its first overseas appearance since reunification with China. The three-day event, themed "Experience Macao," showcased Macao’s cultural heritage and development through interactive exhibits, performances, and business exchanges. Inside the pavilion, themed zones highlighted UNESCO World Heritage sites, East-West fusion, and historic landscapes using digital and touch-screen technology. Outside, the mascot Mak Mak and performances like Portuguese folk dances and lion dances engaged visitors. The China Pavilion, open since April 13, has drawn over 1.7 million international guests.
