Loblaw is closing its LaSalle No Name store Oct. 25 due to low demand, replacing it with a No Frills store Oct. 30.
Loblaw is closing its No Name grocery store in LaSalle, Ontario, on October 25, the second closure of three pilot ultra-discount stores in the province, following the St. Catharines shutdown in July.
The company cited insufficient customer demand despite initial interest.
The LaSalle store, part of a 2024 initiative offering lower prices through reduced hours, a limited 1,300-item inventory, no refrigeration, and fewer deliveries, will be replaced by a new No Frills store opening October 30.
The Brockville No Name store remains open as Loblaw evaluates the discount model.
