India mandates government officials to use Zoho Office Suite to boost digital sovereignty and support local tech.
India’s Ministry of Education has mandated all government officials to use the Zoho Office Suite for official document work, a move aimed at boosting digital sovereignty and supporting domestic technology under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
The directive, signed by Under Secretary Nishant Upadhyaya, requires use of Zoho’s tools—Writer, Sheet, and Show—integrated with NIC email for secure, seamless access without separate logins.
The shift supports India’s goal of reducing reliance on foreign software, enhancing data security, and fostering a product-driven economy.
Officials are encouraged to adopt the platform, with support available through the CMIS/NIC division.
