Five teens broke into a home in Moree, injuring the homeowner, leading to arrests and an ongoing investigation.
A 56-year-old man in Moree, NSW, was injured Saturday morning, October 4, 2025, during a break-in attempt by five teens.
Police responded after reports of the group kicking a home’s front door around 3:20 a.m.
The homeowner confronted them, was struck in the head with a rock and slashed in the forearm with a knife before a witness intervened and the suspects fled.
Four boys—three aged 13 and one aged 11—were arrested and charged with aggravated break and enter using violence, unlawful entry, assault, and reckless wounding.
All were denied bail and are to appear via video in Parramatta Children’s Court.
The injured man was treated at Moree Hospital.
Authorities are still seeking a fifth suspect, and the investigation continues under Operation Soteria.
