YOFC South LATAM unveiled AI-ready fibre tech in Latin America, expanding high-speed networks to bridge the digital divide.

At the Broadband Development Congress Sao Paulo 2025, YOFC South LATAM’s Reinaldo Jeronymo announced advancements in AI-ready optical fibre networks across Latin America, highlighting technologies like G.654.E, multi-core, and hollow-core fibres that reduce latency and increase speed—hollow-core fibre offering up to 47% faster transmission. The company is supporting national broadband initiatives in Mexico and Peru, including a 150,000-kilometer FTTH rollout by 2028 and over 8,000 km of fibre for schools, hospitals, and remote regions, aiming to close the digital divide and fuel economic growth.
