Thai authorities, backed by the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE) and True Visions, shut down INWIPTV, an illegal IPTV service operating since 2012, in a raid across six locations in Bangkok and Nonthaburi on September 21, 2025.
The operation, part of "Operation DEV Shutdown," resulted in the seizure of over 150 items, including 46 servers and financial records, and the questioning of 12 employees.
The service, charging about 300 Thai baht ($10) monthly, provided unauthorized access to live sports, international and Thai content, and adult material.
Officials hailed the action as a major step in combating digital piracy and protecting intellectual property through public-private collaboration.
