A man banned from driving since 2004 was jailed for six months after pleading guilty to four counts of driving while disqualified in 2022.
Keith Wayne Waring, 48, of Orange, was sentenced to six months in jail, served through an intensive corrections order, after pleading guilty to four counts of driving while disqualified in 2022.
He had been banned from driving since May 2004 and never held a valid license.
In August 2022, he was stopped in a maroon Suzuki wagon, failed to produce a license, and was found to be in violation of his 20-year disqualification.
Though his breath test was negative, the court found repeated offenses warranted incarceration.
However, due to Waring’s cooperation, lack of driving since 2022, disposal of vehicles, and no police contact in three years, the judge opted for a community-based sentence requiring 60 hours of community service and a traffic offenders education program.
