Jamaica launched its first direct flights from Colombia to Montego Bay on October 2, 2025, with two surprise "mystery" flights from Bogotá and Medellín carrying 370 passengers.
The inaugural service, operated by Wingo Airlines, begins December 18 and runs through January 26, 2026, offering seasonal direct flights.
The event, part of a promotional campaign by the Jamaica Tourist Board and partners, aims to boost tourism ties with Colombia, a fast-growing source market with arrivals up 32.3% in 2024 and 25.2% in early 2025.
The initiative supports Jamaica’s goal of 8 million tourists by 2030 and $10 billion in tourism revenue.
