Former NSG commando Bajrang Singh arrested in Rajasthan for leading a 200kg cannabis smuggling ring tied to terror networks.
Bajrang Singh, a former NSG commando who served during the 2008 Mumbai 26/11 attacks, was arrested in Rajasthan’s Churu district on October 1, 2025, in connection with a major cannabis smuggling operation.
Police say he led a network trafficking 200 kg of ganja from Telangana and Odisha into Rajasthan, using his military background and political connections to evade capture.
The arrest, part of 'Operation Gaanjaney' by the ATS and Anti-Narcotics Task Force, followed a two-month investigation that traced him through a trusted cook and technical surveillance.
Singh, who had a prior 2023 arrest for smuggling, was wanted with a ₹25,000 bounty.
Authorities describe the bust as a significant blow to a suspected terror-narcotics nexus.
