The 2025 Chengdu Open Rowing Regatta on Xinjin’s Nanhe River featured men's eight, men's quadruple sculls, and women's quadruple sculls over an 800-meter course. Brown University won the men's eight, with the University of Sydney and University of Otago second and third. Princeton took first in the women’s quadruple sculls, ahead of Harvard and Chengdu Sport University. Deyang, Sichuan won the men’s quadruple sculls, with Jianyang and Meishan second and third. International university teams from the US, UK, Australia, and China competed, with athletes praising the course and crowd. Organizers plan to expand the event’s global reach and promote Xinjin as a premier rowing destination.
