A Winnipeg man was sentenced to six years for attacking a B.C. musician’s home in a gang-linked arson and shooting.

A Winnipeg man, Abjeet Kingra, was sentenced to six years in prison for firing a weapon and setting fires at the B.C. home of Punjabi musician AP Dhillon in September 2024, linked to the India-based Bishnoi gang now designated a terrorist entity. The attack, which damaged two vehicles but caused no injuries, prompted a police evacuation and fire response. Kingra, arrested in Ontario in October 2024, received a concurrent two-year sentence for arson and a lifetime firearms ban. A second suspect, Vikram Sharma, 24, remains at large and is believed to be in India, with authorities seeking international cooperation to apprehend him.
