Volvo’s all-new EX60 electric SUV, a direct competitor to the Tesla Model Y, will launch in Australia in mid-2026 with initial deliveries around July.
Built on the new SPA3 EV platform, it will sit between the EX40 and EX90 in Volvo’s lineup and debut globally on January 21, 2026.
Initial production will be limited to 200–300 units in the first six months, with full capacity expected at about 2,500 units annually by 2027.
The EX60 aims to fill a gap in the electric mid-size SUV market with limited direct rivals.
It will coexist with the updated combustion-powered XC60, Volvo’s best-selling model with over 2.7 million units sold globally.
