T-Mobile’s new T-Satellite service offers free emergency app access via Starlink satellites for select users, $10 monthly for others.
T-Mobile has expanded its T-Satellite service, now enabling access to apps like WhatsApp, Google Maps, AccuWeather, and business tools via over 650 Starlink satellites, allowing text, location sharing, weather, maps, and WhatsApp video calls in remote or dead zones.
The feature activates automatically when cellular service is unavailable and is free for users on the “Experience Beyond” plan, while others pay $10 monthly.
The service, approved by the FCC and out of beta, supports both iPhone and Android devices with compatible hardware and is part of T-Mobile’s push to provide critical connectivity in emergencies.
