Saudi Electricity Company appoints Khalid AlGhamdi as new CEO effective Oct. 1, 2025.

The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has named Eng. Khalid Bin Salem AlGhamdi as its new CEO, effective October 1, 2025. Appointed by SEC’s Board of Directors, AlGhamdi, a senior executive with decades of experience in technical services, digital transformation, and risk management at SEC, succeeds the previous CEO. He expressed gratitude to King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman for their support. AlGhamdi pledged to strengthen grid reliability, enhance service for over 11 million customers, and advance Saudi Vision 2030 through innovation and operational excellence. His appointment reflects the Kingdom’s focus on developing local leadership in strategic national sectors.
