After years of development and 480 public submissions, the plan clarifies natural hazard zones for safer development, protects environmental and cultural values—including Te Awarua-o-Porirua Harbour—and incorporates input from Ngāti Toa Rangatira. It aims to balance housing growth with long-term resilience and sustainability.
