An Garda Síochána is seeking public help to identify the skeletal remains of an elderly woman found January 5, 2021, at a construction site in County Cork. Forensic analysis indicates she was over 70 at death, stood 5 to 5'2", had a large frame, and likely died between 1985 and 1987. A facial reconstruction by Dr. Michelle Vitali of Penn West University has been released. She wore dentures from the 1960s, possibly privately made, and was found with a slip, tights, a nightdress, and size two brown leather shoes. DNA testing and missing persons records have not produced a match. Interpol is involved. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact Cobh Garda Station, the Garda Confidential Line, or any local station. All tips will be handled confidentially.
