Manitoba opens mail centres Oct. 3 for essential items during Canada Post strike; pick up with ID.
Manitoba is setting up distribution centres starting October 3 to deliver critical mail—such as cheques, court orders, medical supplies, and educational materials—amid the Canada Post strike.
Residents can pick up mail using one photo ID or two non-photo IDs with a current address, with drop-off locations available for government mail.
Direct deposit recipients are unaffected.
Centres operate Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and individuals can find locations via the Manitoba government’s website or by calling 1-866-626-4862.
