Indore police have seized balloons featuring the Pakistani flag and the Urdu phrase "Jashn-e-Azadi Pakistan - 14 August" that were sold bundled with biscuit packets in Rajasthan.
The incident, reported in Jhalawar district, came to light when children found the balloons in snack packs.
Police identified two Indore-based traders, Neeraj and Dheeraj Singhal, as sellers who claimed the balloons were sourced from Maharashtra, Delhi, and another location.
The items were confiscated, and an investigation is ongoing into the supply chain, with authorities probing how the politically sensitive merchandise entered the consumer market.
