Indian court blocks Shilpa Shetty and husband's travel over ₹60 crore fraud case.
The Bombay High Court has denied actor Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra permission to travel abroad for a planned trip to Phuket, rejecting their request to suspend a Look Out Circular linked to a ₹60 crore fraud case.
The couple, accused of misusing funds from Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd, argue they’ve cooperated with investigators and need to travel for business and family reasons.
The case, involving allegations of defrauding businessman Deepak Kothari, remains under investigation by Mumbai’s Economic Offences Wing and the Enforcement Directorate, which also probes Kundra over cryptocurrency dealings.
Shetty’s legal team denies claims of fund transfers to her company, calling them false, and has threatened legal action against media outlets spreading the allegations.
