Cargo volume on China's New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor surged 70.3% year on year to 1.09 million TEUs in the first nine months of 2025, reaching the one-million-TEU mark in 247 days—the fastest growth since launch.
The route now links 75 Chinese cities across 18 provinces to 577 ports in 127 countries, carrying over 1,316 goods types, including electronics, machinery, food, and increasingly new energy vehicles from Chongqing and Chengdu.
Officials project annual volume will exceed 1.3 million TEUs, supporting western China’s economic development.
